Minister Browne visited County Tipperary on Friday, 27 February, 2026 where he toured several significant social housing developments currently being delivered across the county.
The visit began in Tyone, where the Minister viewed the almost complete 67 homes being delivered by Respond. This development represents a major boost to local housing supply and is nearing final stages of construction.
The Minister then travelled to Grove Street, Roscrea, where Tipperary County Council is progressing the construction of 9 new housing units. The site visit provided an opportunity to review progress and meet with those involved in delivering the project.
From there, the delegation proceeded to Ashbury, Roscrea where a sod‑turning ceremony was held to mark the commencement of 10 new Council‑constructed homes. This milestone signals the start of another important phase of housing development for the area.
The visit concluded at Glencarrick, Roscrea where the Minister viewed the nearly completed 47-unit development, also being delivered by Tipperary County Council. This substantial project is approaching completion and will soon provide much‑needed housing for local families.
Across all stops, the Minister acknowledged the strong partnership between Approved Housing Bodies and Tipperary County Council and praised the pace and quality of housing delivery underway throughout the county.
