Local Enhancement Programme 2025

The Local Enhancement Programme 2025 is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development to support community and voluntary groups and organisations around the Country. The fund is administered by Tipperary County Council on behalf of the Tipperary Local Community Development Committee (LCDC).

Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary TD, and Minister of State with responsibility for Community Development and Charities, Jerry Buttimer TD, has announced the successful projects under the Local Enhancement Programme (LEP) 2025.

 

Over 250 community groups and clubs in Tipperary are to benefit from funding of over €240,000. These grants will allow groups to upgrade their facilities, purchase equipment or furniture, increase security with CCTV or fencing, improve disability access to facilities and purchase first aid equipment. This year funding was also available to support community groups with their running costs. 

 

Commenting on the announcement, Ms Sinead Carr, Chief Executive of Tipperary County Council stated ‘‘the level of community and voluntary work taking place in Tipperary is a credit to the County. I am delighted to support such a wide variety of projects.  Many of these groups depend on these grants to continue their valuable work in their communities”.  

 

Tipperary County Council administers the programme on behalf of Tipperary Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) and is funded by the Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht. In 2025 €194,509 was available for capital projects and €46,475 for running costs.
