National Heritage Week Programme

Local authorities may run events and activities including tours, recitals and re-enactments to celebrate and build awareness of Ireland's heritage and support its conservation, as part of National Heritage Week.

National Heritage Week 2025

National Heritage Week 2025 takes place from the 16th – 24th August.

National Heritage Week, an initiative by the Heritage Council, celebrates all things heritage. It brings together communities, families, organisations, cultural institutions, academics and enthusiasts, to build awareness about the value of heritage and support its conservation. The overarching theme for National Heritage Week 2025 is Exploring Our Foundations. All events that meet the objectives of National Heritage Week in a meaningful way will be promoted on the National Heritage Week website. 

The Tipperary Heritage Week Event Grant Scheme 2025 is now Closed.

This grant scheme accepts applications for funding towards Heritage Week Events.
