DECISION TO CLOSE THE M8 MOTORWAY AT JUNCTION 9 CASHEL, CO. TIPPERARY.

NOTICE is hereby given that Tipperary County Council has made an Order closing:

ROAD TO

BE CLOSED:

Northbound and Southbound sliproads and merge and diverge lanes on the M8 Motorway at Junction 9, Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

PERIOD OF

CLOSURE:

Nightly from 21:00hrs to 06:00hrs from Tuesday 06 May 2025 to Friday 16 May 2025.

ALTERNATIVE

ROUTES:

Traffic through Junction 9 to be diverted via the N74, Cahir Road, Lower Green and R-639 to Junction 8 in the northbound direction.

Traffic travelling in the southbound direction will be diverted through Junction 8, R-639, Lower Green, Cahir Road to junction 9 and from junction 9 to Cahir via the R639, through New Inn, to Junction 10 near Cahir.

REASON FOR CLOSURE:

To facilitate road resurfacing works.
