Closure of R-855 Westgate, Carrick-on-Suir from its Junction with R-676 at Main Street, Carrick-on-Suir, to its junction with the N24 at O`Mahony Avenue, Carrick

For all HGV’s travelling East to West, Diversions will be detailed and signed along the N24 advising detour around Carrick on the N24 to Greystone Street.

For all HGVs intending to cross at Dillon Bridge from the South, they will be diverted East on the R-680 to Fiddown, turning left on to the R-698 through Fiddown and re-joining the N24 Eastbound, where they will pick-up the diversion around town to the N24 junction with Greystone Street

For local traffic, not exceeding 3.5t, the diversion route will down Bridge Street to the junction of Castle Lane & North Quay, turning West on the L-6712, then joining the N24 Eastbound to meet Greystone Street.

To facilitate the repair/replacement of the watermain and all associated works, including the reinstatement of the carriageway, footway and verges where required.
