The Council employs two full-time Dog Wardens who are very proactive and operate from the Dog Control Units in Knockalton, Nenagh. The Dog Wardens visit each area in the county during the year on a rota basis to check for unlicensed dogs and to ensure that dogs are kept under effective control. The Wardens also respond to any calls from the public in relation to stray dogs on public spaces.
