Decision to Close The R497 & R503 Knockmaroe Junction, Kilcommon, Co.Tipperary

NOTICE is hereby given that Tipperary County Council has made an Order closing:

ROAD TO
BE CLOSED Phased closures of the R497 & R503 at Knockmaroe Junction, Kilcommon, Co. Tipperary.
PERIOD OF
CLOSURE: 07:00hrs on Monday 18 September 2023 to 19:00hrs on Friday 22 September 2023.
ALTERNATIVE
ROUTES: R503 West Bound:
From Thurles to Limerick: via R498 to Nenagh and M7 to Limerick.
From Milestone to Kilcommon: south via R497 and L1152 to Boulanunane and north to the R503 at Loughbrack via L5108.
R503 East Bound:
From Kilcommon to Thurles: via L2266 to Reiska, R497 to Dolla, R499 to Ballinamona and R498 to Thurles.
R497 North & South Bound:
Via R503 to McCormack’s Cross and L2266 to Kilcommon and Reiska and vice versa.
REASON FOR CLOSURE: To facilitate the installation of Hot Rolled Asphalt as part of the upgrade to the R503/ R497 Junction Knockmaroe, Kilcommon, Co.Tipperary

Temporary Traffic Management on the R688 Clonmel to Clerihan Road at Rathduff, Co.Tipperary to facilitate Road Resurfacing Works. Works commencing 6th of September 2023 at 07.00hrs and finishing on the 8th September 2023 at 19.00hrs.
Diversions will be in place. Expect delays. Local access will be facilitated.

Temporary Traffic Management on the L-6515 Tullohea, South Lodge, Co.Tipperary to facilitate road resurfacing works.
Works commencing 6th of September 2023 at 08.00hrs and finishing on the 6th September 2023 at 18.00hrs.
Diversions will be in place. Expect delays. Local access will be facilitated.

Temporary Traffic Management on the L-6517 Heathview/Brittas, Co.Tipperary to facilitate road resurfacing works. Works commencing 6th of September 2023 at 08.00hrs and finishing on the 6th September 2023 at 18.00hrs.
Diversions will be in place. Expect delays. Local access will be facilitated.

Road closed and diversions in place on the L4208 Mountwilliam, Kilfeacle, Co.Tipperary commencing 4th September 2023 at 9.30am until 5th September 2023 at 6.00pm for drainage works. Diversions via L-8301, L8218 and L4211, L8303.

Temporary Traffic Management on the L-7207-0 Ballynattin Upper, Clerihan,Co.Tipperary.
From 08.00hrs to 18.00hrs on the 04th September 2023 for road resurfacing.
Diversions will be in place. Expect Delays. Local access will be facilitated.

NOTICE is hereby given that Tipperary County Council has made an Order closing:

ROAD TO
BE CLOSED: Closure 1: Lakeside Drive, Ballina, Including parking spaces adjacent to Flanagan’s on the Lake
The L-6090-0 and L-6092-0

Closure 2: Graves of the Leinster Men, Ballina, Road from Derrybeg to Cooneen
The L-2134-0, L-6038 and partial closure on the L-6037-0.

CLOSURE: Closure 1: Ballina
From 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs on Saturday 09 September 2023.
Closure 2: Graves of the Leinster Men Road
From 03:00hrs to 13:00hrs on Saturday 09 September 2023.
ALTERNATIVE
ROUTES: Closure 1: Ballina
R494-22, full access to the Lakeside hotel will be available via the L-6092-0 from 11.00hrs onwards.
Closure 2: Graves of the Leinster Men Road
Traffic will be diverted via the main R494-13.
REASON FOR CLOSURE: To facilitate the Quest Lough Derg Event.

BE CLOSED: The M8 Motorway Southbound carriageway between Junctions 11 and 12, Tincurry and Kilbeheny
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: Between 04:00 and 16:00 on the 13th and the 18th of September. ALTERNATIVE
ROUTES:

Diversion via the R639 road between Junction 11 Tincurry and Junction 12 Kilbeheny

ROAD TO
BE CLOSED: The Southbound on-slip and merge lane on the M8 Motorway in Junction 10 Cahir PERIOD OF CLOSURE: Between 10:00 and 19:00 daily on the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th of September. ALTERNATIVE
ROUTES:
Diversion via the R639 road between Junction 10 Cahir and Junction 11 Tincurry.

ROAD TO
BE CLOSED: N24 Waterford to Limerick road between the Knockagh roundabout and the New Inn Roundabout in the Westbound (Limerick) direction PERIOD OF CLOSURE: Between 19:00 and 06:00 daily on the 18th, 19th and 20th of September. ALTERNATIVE
ROUTES:
Diversion through Cahir town on the R640 and Mitchelstown Road onto the R639 towards New Inn.
REASON FOR CLOSURE: To facilitate road works.

NOTICE is hereby given that Tipperary County Council has made an Order closing:

BE CLOSED: The L-2708-1 Bridge Street From R885 To Strand Lane, Carrick On Suir, Co.Tipperary
PERIOD OF
CLOSURE: 08:00hrs on Monday 11 September 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 22 September 2023.
ALTERNATIVE
ROUTES: Traffic travelling along main street R-885 are to be diverted along the R-885 through West Gate and along Greystone Street to the N24, at the roundabout they are to continue straight to the Suir-side Junction and turn left onto the L-6712-1 and travel along North Quay to Bridge street junction.
REASON FOR CLOSURE: To facilitate the laying of the new duct as part of the National Broadband Project
