What is Culture Night?
Culture Night is an annual all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts. Different organisations present hundreds of FREE events, tours, talks and performances for you, your family and friends to enjoy.
This year, Culture Night will be celebrated on Friday 19 September 2025. It will take place from 4pm till late.
Building on the great success of previous years, County Tipperary will again celebrate Culture Night in 2025. Coordinated by Tipperary County Council, we are now inviting arts and culture organisations, creative practitioners, artists, performers, community groups and schools to hold an event.
What events are we looking for?
Ranging from live music and arts events to book readings, outdoor projections on buildings or multicultural celebrations, Culture Night is about inclusion and particularly suited to encourage new venues to open their doors and new audiences to participate. We encourage and support to hear all voices and cultures that make up Ireland today.
Check out www.culturenight.ie for inspiration.
Will funding be available?
Yes, funding is available, but applying for funding does not guarantee that your event will be funded. The maximum grant per event is €500. Please read the information sheet and application form and fill in Part C of the application form if you require funding for your event. The deadline for application is 12 noon on Thursday 19 June 2025. You will be notified if you have been successful with your application in July 2025.
Even if you do not need funding, please fill in the application form to sign up your project, as the Tipperary Arts office is coordinating all Culture Night events in county Tipperary and we want to make sure your event is promoted on the national website to reach a maximum audience!
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the Arts Office via artsoffice@tipperarycoco.ie or 0818 06 5000.
Culture Night is brought to you by The Arts Council in partnership with Tipperary County Council and cultural organisations throughout the county.
