The Carrick-on-Suir & Environs Local Area Plan 2025-2031 sets out the local spatial planning framework for Carrick-on-Suir to 2031. The Plan sets out the land use strategy for the town to ensure the town can grow, support employment and new homes, and can do so sustainably and successfully.
The Plan was made on Monday 12th May 2025 and will come into effect on 23rd June 2025, providing Tipperary County Council do not receive a Direction from the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage not to adopt part or all of the Plan.
